1. What are the school hours?
Our school day runs from 8:45am to 3:15pm. We also offer wrap-around care options before and after school to support busy families - from 7.30am to 5.30pm.
2. Do you provide wrap-around care or clubs?
Yes, we offer before- and after-school care, plus a range of clubs and activities. Details are shared with families each term via newsletters and the school website.
3. What is the school’s approach to wellbeing and mental health?
We place a strong focus on children’s wellbeing. We have a Virtual Worry Box for pupils, a Parent Forum for families, and resources for mental health and online safety. Safeguarding and SEND support are integral parts of our care.
4. How do I apply for a place at the school?
Applications can be made through Wiltshire Council admissions, with details also available on our website. If you’d like to visit, please call or email the school office (admin@stthomas.equamead.org) to arrange a tour with the Headteacher.
5. Do you accept children from Armed Forces families?
Yes. We welcome Armed Forces families and offer support to meet their unique needs. Please contact us directly if you’d like to discuss admissions or support.
6. What classes do you have?
Children are taught in three classes:

Skylark – Reception and Year 1

Chough – Years 2 and 3

Kestrel – Years 4, 5 and 6
We also have Forest School and Continuous Provision to support hands-on, active learning.
7. What is the school uniform?
Our uniform policy is outlined on the website. The PTFA also supports families with affordable uniform options.
8. Do children receive hot meals?
Yes. We provide healthy school meals daily. Menus and ordering information are available via the school office and on the website.
9. What if I need to talk to someone about my child?
Parents can speak with class teachers at drop-off/pick-up or arrange a meeting via the office. For specific concerns, please contact Miss Chloe Stobbart (Headteacher) directly.

11. How do you support children with special needs (SEND)?
Our SEND provision is strong and inclusive. We work with families and external agencies to ensure every child can thrive. Full details can be found in our SEND Information Report on the website.
12. How can parents get involved in school life?
Parents can join our PTFA (Parents, Teachers & Friends Association), help at school events, and participate in fundraising activities. We also welcome volunteers to support learning in school.
13. What is the school’s Ofsted rating?
